I have downloaded the ISO, verified the md5sum and burned to disc (twice, two different physical CD's) and get an error msg.  This is on my regular desktop machine (1.5GB RAM, 386/2.6Ghz).

Any suggestions?  I'll try xvesa next to see if it's a graphics issue.  Howdy

What is the error message?

Let me check the download again.

memtest doesn't work= isolinux: disk error 10, AX=421D, drive EF
forcexvesa throws bootfailed: press a key to retry.

I'll try this disk on another machine and then if that fails, burn to a virgin CD (these were both CD-RW's that had previous data to be erased).

I'll keep you posted.

Ah ok.  I was wondering cause this is built on the same base I made for Remastersys LXDE Lite and that worked for you fine.  I think your cdrw's have passed their prime.

I downloaded 2010.2 and burned that to a new (virgin) CD-RW and viola'!  Works live CD mode with no problems.  This is very interesting....... has a DSL feel to it.  I'll definitely have to try this on an older machine to see if it is good for older HW platforms.

Thanks, Tony.  With a tip of the hat to the AfterStep folks.  Howdy
